Promo CD
We provide small runs of professionally printed and duplicated CD-R for bands and solo artists, also known as Promo CD. We offer CD duplication on run sizes as small as 25 units (hell, we’ll even do less than that but you have some friends, right?).
The standard packaging for promo CDs is the ubiquitous clear PVC wallet, allowing the disc print to be seen through the packaging. You could add a simple paper insert for additional information (like thanking your extensive entourage maybe) or for a slightly higher volume runs (say 100 or more) we can provide full colour printed card wallets.
Despite the undeniable fact that digital download has superseded the music CD as the consumers format of choice, the promo CD is still the best way of getting your track heard by radio pluggers and reviewed by the press. Unlike the web delivery methods on offer, a promo CD can be thrust in someone’s hand personally at a gig or in a pub. No chance of that email link getting deleted or forgotten in the inbox spammed to the max.
You may have noticed that there are quite a few promo cd suppliers out there, all offering their services via the web. We are a little different in that we were the first company to offer promo CDs back in the dark ages of cassette duplication. Our music label clients trusted us to deliver CD duplication services for critical applications, like radio plays on Radio 1 and press copies for review in all the major press. This was our core business for many years so what we don’t know about promo CD manufacturing is not worth knowing.
